Our Classroom Companions

Our classroom has pet hermit crabs that live in our classroom. Hermit crabs are really cool pets but they do require daily care. We have to feed them, change their water, and spray the inside of their tank everyday to keep our crabs happy and healthy. Hermit crabs are crustaceans and their shell is just a temporary home. We have watched them climb, eat, dig, and sometimes if our class is working very quietly, we can hear them “chirp”.
