Egg-Cellent
Descriptive Paragraphs
Writing descriptive paragraphs can be tricky, but
the 4th graders did an egg-cellent job on
writing descriptions about their dyed eggs.
The students took turns and colored a hard-boiled egg. Each egg was completely unique! The students brought their egg to their desk
and investigated its colors, markings, and other unique features. Then they wrote a descriptive paragraph about
the egg. Mrs. Kanas took the eggs and
put them in a container so no one knew which egg belonged to each student. The students took turns reading their
descriptive paragraphs out loud while another student tried to guess which egg
belonged to the reader. Some of the
students wrote their descriptions like riddles.
They were very fun to listen to and it was even more fun when the person
could pick out the egg after listening to the description.
