This isn’t your average
book report! The 4th graders
were assigned the task to create a “Book Report in a Bottle”. After reading their chosen book in the
fiction genre, the students started their book reports.
First they found an empty pop or water
bottle. Then, they decorated the outside
of the bottle with symbols, objects, or images from their story. Then, they wrote a “message in a bottle” from
the point of view of the main character in the story. The message told about what happened in the
story, any problems they encountered, and how they were resolved. The 4th graders did a wonderful
job creating their “Book Reports in a Bottle”.
